23)  My 11 year old daughter had not completed a chore which she said that she would. In the heat of the moment I yelled at her while I scolded her. I then sent her off to her room in a trail of tears. After things had calmed down I knew that I had over reacted and I went to her room to ask forgiveness. I knocked on her door and in a sobbing voice she said “Come in”. I went inside, looked into her tear swollen eyes and asked her forgiveness for losing my temper and yelling at her. She looked at me, and with a barely audible voice said “I forgive you daddy”, then she threw her arms around my neck and said “I love you daddy”. We both held each other and cried.

Forgiveness, the ultimate act of kindness.
