Today I gave an early Valentines present for some friends; David and Cythia. Cynthia is confined to bed and light housework because of a difficult pregnancy. Sunday we took a dinner over for them and today I presented David with a wonderful loaf of bread as an early Valentine's Day present for Cynthia. Bread?; for Valentine's? Laugh not, for this is my own bread; made with love and presented with the same.

Jackie is the best Valentine I've ever had...She treated me to a great Steak dinner and I got her, quite possibly, the most beautiful yellow roses I've ever seen. Can you believe I've spent the last 50 years thinking that yellow represented 'endearing love'? I learned this past weekend that it represents friendship which, after all, is the most important element of a relationship, no?
