Editors note:
I received a letter the other day which said that The Gifts of Giving program may help others to get ideas on how to help their “brothers and sisters” , during the season of giving, but our giving is done anonymously and any blessings or “attaboys” other than heaven above seems to spoil the fun.
I would just like to say that the Acts of Kindness submitted here are strictly anonymous. I have even changed the submission entry to “first Initial” and “State”. As for an “attaboy”, you’ll get none here. This Blog merely wishes to show that indeed the spirit of giving is alive and well. In the spirit of giving when anyone sees a need, whether large or small, they fulfill that need in kindness.
An act of giving is something that comes from the heart.
"Because I have been given much, I too must give".
Bless you all.
Gary
16) Today I was the recipient of an act of kindness. I needed an Emissions Test for my automobile registration so I went online to find the nearest testing station. Following directions I wound up at a government Food Bank but not the Emissions Testing Center. Good intentions, bad directions. After wandering around for a while, a man sitting on the curb drinking juice from a gallon jug suggested that I looked as if I were lost. Throwing my arms up in frustration I exclaimed “I am lost”. I told him where I wanted to be, and he calmly exclaimed that I was about four miles off target then proceeded to give me directions on how to get there. I followed his advice and …..mission accomplished.
