HOW TO LEAD A MORE VIBRANT SPIRITUAL LIFE
DAY 4
FERVENT PRAYER
Daily fervent prayers seeking forgiveness and special help and direction are essential to our lives and the nourishment of our testimonies. When we become hurried, repetitive, casual, or forgetful in our prayers, we tend to lose the closeness of the Spirit, which is so essential in the continual direction we need to successfully manage the challenges of our everyday lives. As you recognize or feel the impressions and whisperings of the Spirit, then act upon them.
Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
We cannot lead a vibrant spiritual life without engaging in earnest and fervent prayer.
And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens. (Enos 1:4)
…pray for one another, that ye may be healed, The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James. 5:16)
Pray for others. Establish a prayer list for those who are sick or in need. As you pray for others act upon those prayers through service.
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed bi thy name. (Matthew 6:9)
