Acts of Kindness #7 (Follow-up)

After posting a news story of a homeless man who found and returned $3,300 to the person who lost it, I would now like to post some of the follow-up comments about his good deed. People from around the country read about his act and were move to compassion and action.

Tally, the homeless man who returned the $3,300, has received all kinds of calls and offers from people who want to congratulate him for his good deed of returning the money he had found, despite his circumstances. Tally has received job offers, a new bicycle, even cash donations. Many have asked him to spend Thanksgiving dinner with them.

Tally said he’s surprised at the amount of attention he’s getting for an act “that is what we’re taught when we’re 2 years old”.

After hearing the story one individual donated $100 to Tally and $100 to the agency that helped in the return of the money. He said hearing positive news was a nice change from all the “disheartening stories in the news”.

Acts of Kindness are contagious. Catch it and DO IT!
